About Melissa Pretorius

Melissa Pretorius is an accounting and tax professional with 18 years’ experience in the provision of accounting, assurance and tax services.

Melissa completed her B.Compt.Hons in 2001 with the University of the Free State and joined Moores Rowland (known as Newtons today) in Bloemfontein to serve her Articles of C.A. Clerkship.

She left practice and spent 3 years in the retail property rental and filming industry as a financial manager. Melissa furthered her studies in taxation and completed her M.Com in S.A. and International Taxation in 2009 through the North West University of Potchefstroom.

Melissa joined the company during 2008 and spent a few years in the auditing department until she assisted setting up the tax department of the company during 2013. She has been actively involved in the management of the department ever since.

Melissa has a few years’ experience in tax related matters which includes individuals, trusts and companies.

Melissa understands the compliance requirements in terms of Income Tax, Value-Added Tax and Employee tax and performs her duties to the best of her abilities to ensure clients remain compliant.

Melissa enjoys working with clients and ensuring the clients receive professional service and value for money.
